A roundabout project agreement was tabled for further review at the Tuesday, March 10, 2026, Williams County Commissioner meeting. The agreement would be between the commissioners, via the County Engineer, and the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT).
Through federal transportation funding programs, certain federal funds are now available for use by local public agencies.
The requested funds would be used to construct a single-lane roundabout at County Road G and County Road 13. The total cost of the project is estimated to be $4.12 million.
Commissioners Lirot and Westfall both questioned the necessity of the roundabout and wished to see more data. ODOT completes traffic impact studies before proceeding with a project, and the commissioners agreed to gather more information before approving the resolution. The motion was tabled for later review.
The minutes of the March 5, 2026 meeting were approved alongside the payment of bills and appropriations for county departments.

A partnership with Williams County and the City of Bryan for filing a combined application under Community Housing Improvement Program (CHIP) programs was approved.
The agreement enters Williams County into the Maumee Valley North CHIP Consortium (MVNCC) 2026 partnership agreement. Financial assistance will be received and it designates the Maumee Valley Planning Organization to manage and administer the activities via grant funds. The term will have an automatic renewal for three-year periods.
A joint funding agreement was approved for a U.S. Geological Survey from the OKI Water Science Center, United States Department of the Interior, for a continuous groundwater level monitoring network. The cost will not exceed $37,080.
Two courthouse permits were approved: Rick Adams to celebrate “God & Country” on April 25, 2026, and for Wicked Wiches Food Truck.
At 9:26 a.m., an executive session was entered with Williams County Prosecutor Katherine Zartman for pending or imminent court action.
The next Williams County Commissioner meeting will take place March 12, 2026, at 10 a.m.
