INVOCATION … The Bryan Ministerial Association hosted the 75th annual National Day of Prayer event, which was held on Thursday, May 7 at the Williams County Courthouse Square. This year’s theme was Glorify God Among The Nations. Participating in this year’s event were Pastor Jared Burgess and Associate Pastor Janaye Burgess of Life Source Church; Pastor Luke Nagy of First Brethren Church; Pastor Denny Jones of Union Chapel Church of God; Pastor Steve Beal of Ignite Ministry; Pastor Jeff Sheldon of Eastland Baptist Church; Pastor Dave Sherwood and Associate Pastor Stefanie Widney of Grace Community Church. Bryan Mayor Carrie Schlade also read a proclamation from the City of Bryan recognizing the importance of the National Day of Prayer. Prayers were offered for local, state and federal government, businesses, media, education, family, church and the military.
