A part-time police officer was hired for the Village of Edon during a special council session held Friday, October 30, 2015 in Village Chambers. Mayor Darlene Burkhardt called the meeting to order with Councilors Roxana Nester, Lee Lawrence, Richard Chapin, Gale Horn and Fiscal Officer Heidi Bidwell in attendance.
Recommended by the mayor to fill the position was Damien Esparza of Defiance. The motion presented to approve his appointment that afternoon was unanimously passed by Council members.
Edon Village Council will next convene in regular session Monday, November 16, 2015 in Village Chambers beginning at 7:00 p.m.
