The Fulton County Bad Creek Long Beards Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF) held their annual banquet on Saturday, March 12 at the Fulton County Sportsman’s Club with 100 in attendance. Sara Rufenacht, a senior at Wauseon High School, was awarded the local NWTF scholarship. Presenting the scholarship are Todd Bingham, Vice President, and Jim Leffel, President, of the local chapter. The NWTF focuses on conservation; the local chapter supports youth activities and other various programs in the county. Sara will be entered for an opportunity for a scholarship at the state level. Fulton County students who will graduate in 2017 are encouraged to visit www.nwtf.org for the eligibility guidelines and an application that is due on January 1, 2017.
