Fulton County Board Of Commissioners Continue Funding Wauseon Revitalization Program

The Fulton County Board met July 21 and took the following actions:

Approved a contract for $22,451.96 with Bo-Dec of Archbold for roof replacement as part of the Wauseon Downtown Revitalization project at 130 N. Fulton St. Wauseon.

Approved a contract for $19,234.44 with Edgar Grisier Funeral Home as part as the Wauseon Downtown Revitalization project for roof replacement, windows, exterior paint and an awning.

Approved a contract with B. Hill’z for $147,997 to replace County Bridge B8.7.

Awarded a bid for electrical work to Wyse Electric for the Wauseon Library. The work is part of the 2015 Targets of Opportunity-Wauseon Library Project. The amount is $150,050.

Awarded the bid for plumbing and heating work at the Wauseon Library to LR Babcock Plumbing and Heating, Inc., for $30,444.


Approved an alternate proposal for the design of the county’s Heritage Center to add cement board siding on the south and west side adding $89,500 to the cost.

Received the Dog Warden’s report for the weeks of July 3 and 10.

The Dog Warden picked up 11 strays from July 3-9 and nine were redeemed. Seven citations were issued. The office collected $60 in fees.

From July 10-16, the Dog Warden picked up 17 strays with 12 dogs redeemed. There were 13 citations issued and one dog bite reported. The office collected $95 in fees.


The Board of Fulton County Commissioners made the following actions July 19.

Heard a quarterly update from Director of Public Utilities Ziad Musallam. Solid waste number are down, but still average. There were fewer scrap tires. The lack of tires led to a denial of a 2016 Litter Management grant application.

Other highlights:
The Delta Landfill leachate connection is still being worked out with the EPA and the village.

Approved a request by the Wauseon Homecoming Committee to use the Detwiler, Health Department and Maintenance building parking lots for use for a parade.

Rescinded a resolution authorizing the county auditor to oversee EMS billing.
