Four bids were opened Aug. 22 at the Williams County Board of Commissioners meeting for a road project in West Unity.
The project will replace the waterline and storm sewer on East Jackson Street.
Bids came from B. Hill’z Excavating, Wayne, ($183,249); Zee Construction, Holland, ($174,617); Vernon Nagel, Napoleon, ($170, 446) and S + S Directional Boring, Bryan, ($166,053.50).
Work is progressing on the county EMS building on SR 15, north of Bryan. EMS Director Jim Hicks provided an update to the commissioners. The work has included new drywall where the truck bays used to be, moving doors from the west to the north and repairs to the concrete floor and membrane.
In legislative notes, the board approved a bid for $5,813 for new office furniture for the IT manager from Church Furniture Partner.
