Celebrate Labor Day Weekend at Sauder Village WEBArchbold, OH – Take time to make special memories with your family over the long Labor Day weekend with a visit to Sauder Village – Ohio’s largest living-history destination! A time-honored, family get-away in the Midwest – Sauder Village is ready to welcome guests of all ages to the historic village, restaurant, campground and inn for a spectacular holiday weekend!

“Families are always looking for a special way to celebrate Labor Day Weekend,” shared Kim Krieger, PR/Media Relations. “We look forward to having families stay at the Inn or Campground, play in the pool, visit unique shops, enjoy great food, and make special memories while visiting the Historic Village.”

Celebrating their 40th Anniversary this year, Sauder Village continues to offer plenty of opportunities for guests to experience Ohio’s historic past. Throughout the Historic Village, guests can experience life in Ohio through activities and stories shared in the community shops, Native American area, Pioneer Settlement, historic homes, farms and gardens. Guests of all ages enjoy visiting places like the 1920 Grime Homestead, District 16 School, Grist Mill, Herb Shop, Depot, Church and General Store as well as taking a ride on the Erie Express Train or the horse and buggy. Throughout the holiday weekend there will be a variety of cooking demonstrations as well as fun activities like story time at Little Pioneers Homestead, quill pen writing, croquet, paper dolls and more (activities vary by day).

Historic Sauder Village will be open Saturday, Sunday and Monday for the holiday weekend. Hours are Saturday, September 3 from 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., Sunday from noon-4:00 p.m. and Monday, September 5 from 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. On Sunday only, kids 16 and under receive free admission. All Active Duty Military and Veterans will receive free admission on Saturday, Sunday and Monday of the Labor Day Weekend.

Sauder Village will also offer free admission to all active duty military personnel and their immediate families, including National Guard and reserve, from Memorial Day through Labor Day. As a Blue Star Museum, Sauder Village is one of more than 2,000 museums across America to offer free admission to military personnel and their immediate families this summer in collaboration with the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, and the Department of Defense.
