Archbold, OH – On Saturday, October 15 Sauder Village guests can have fun in the past while also learning valuable information about how to lead a healthy and safe lifestyle. Again this year, health and safety professionals from throughout the region will gather at Sauder Village for the annual Community Health Day event featuring informational displays, health screenings, door prizes and much more! October 15 is also Fulton County Appreciation Day – with free admission for all residents of Fulton County!

The 2016 Community Health/Fulton County Day is being sponsored by the Fulton County Health Center. Representatives from Fulton County Health Center have many screenings planned throughout the day including blood sugar and blood pressure checks and Dexa Scan and will also be sharing valuable information with guests.
While visiting the Historic Village, guests will also be able to explore a variety of fire and rescue vehicles, learn about train safety, gather information about Alzheimer’s disease, mental health issues and injury prevention. Local agencies will share information about drug/alcohol/gambling addictions, adult/child services, traffic safety, health and wellness, mental health services, medical equipment, and volunteer outreach/adult day care. Complimentary spine health screenings will be available and free child finger printing will be offered by local law enforcement throughout the day.
Special thanks to the many local agencies that are helping to make this event possible: Fulton County Health Center, Hands of Grace, Fulton County Health Department and Fulton County Fireman’s Association, Police Departments and Sheriff’s Office. Other local partners include Operation Lifesaver, Detray Chiropractic, Tri State Medical Supplies, Alzheimer’s Association of Northwest Ohio and Lutheran Social Services. Fulton County Job & Family Services, Four County ADAMHS Board and The University of Toledo Medical Center will also be participating in Community Health Day.
October 15 is also Fulton County Community Appreciation Day. As a non-profit organization, Sauder Village understands the importance of giving back to the community. Free admission is being offered to all Fulton County residents on this special day as a way to say thank you for supporting Sauder Village for the past 40 years! The County Days events have also been a great way to encourage people in local communities to visit and see all the changes that have taken place over the years. All Fulton County, Ohio residents are invited to attend this special event for free (with valid ID) on Saturday, October 15.
Historic Sauder Village is open Tuesday through Friday from 10:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m., Saturday from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and each Sunday afternoon from noon-4:00 p.m. The Historic Village is closed on Mondays, except holidays. Admission is $16.00 for adults and $10.00 for students ages 6-16. Children 5 and under are always free with family and Sauder Village members receive free admission to the Historic Village for an entire year. Senior, Military and AAA discounts are also available. And again this year, children 16 and under are free every Sunday this season!
