Game Summaries: Jr. High Track & Field – Mon., April 10th, 2017

BOYS – Stryker 37, Fayette 33, Pettisville 27,

(Meet called early because of storms.)

Edon 78, Montpelier 58, Hilltop 17
The Bombers captured nine first places to dominate in BBC action. (Last names only reported) Carlson won the shot put 29’6”, Muehlfield was a triple winner with victories in the Long Jump with a leap of 15’4”, as a member of the 4×200 relay winning in 1:49.8, and running to victory in the 200 meter hurdles in 31.17. Gallehue jumped 5’ to win the High Jump, Whitney captured the 100 meters in 12.63, Geiselman won the 1600 meters in 5:51.5 and the 800 meters in 2:39.0 and Herr won the 400 meters in 59.99. Montpelier winners included Cummins in the Discus with a throw of 72.10”, Brigle in the Pole Vault with a height of 5’6”, Flint in the 200 meters in 28.72 and the Locos won all three relay races.

GIRLS – North Central 43, Stryker 36, Pettisville 32, Fayette 31

Montpelier 93.5, Edon 37.5, Hilltop 17
The Locos dominated the meet taking all but two firsts in the 15-event meet. Repp was a double winner in the shot put (28’2.5”) and discus (65’4”). Kiess from Edon won the Long Jump with a leap of 12’ 1.5” while Laney was a double winner for Hilltop capturing the 100 and 200 meter races in 14.38 and 29.60 respectively.
