Pelier v Delta BB - TK 032 WEB

MONTPELIER – The Delta Panthers did their part to defeat the Montpelier Locomotives on April 15. Sadly for the Locos, they had a hand in helping Delta, as five errors led to 9 unearned runs and a 15-5 NWOAL beatdown.

Tyler Benner deserved a better fate than what his defense handed him. He worked 3 innings, allowing 8 runs, 2 earned on 5 hits and 2 walks, striking out 2. Delta then got four runs, one earned off Jared Shoup’s brief 3-walk stint, resulting in a call to Parker Houk. Houk went 3 innings, allowing 3 runs on 2 hits and a walk, striking out 2. Cody Caudill pitched a scoreless frame, allowing a hit and striking out a batter.
