LIBERTY CENTER – Rumor has it that the Stryker pitching staff is suing the Panther offense for non-support. It took a seventh inning rally for the Panthers to survive against Fayette, but their next outing saw Kole Peterson of North Central throwing a 2-0 no-hitter at them. Twenty four hours later it was yet another seventh inning rally that allowed Stryker to tie Liberty Center, but this time it was not the Panthers’ that prevailed as Liberty Center got the walk-off win in eight innings, 5-4.

The Panthers generated just two hits in support of Jeremiah Garza, who minimized the damage despite allowing 10 hits and 5 walks. Garza never allowed the big inning, limiting the crooked numbers to one inning, the fourth, in which the Tigers were able to get two runs across. Garza allowed 5 runs, 4 earned over 8 innings, striking out a pair.

Dean Beamont had a single, and Parker Ruffer clocked a two-run double in the top of the seventh that saw Stryker come from a 4-1 deficit to tie the game at 4-4.
