PIONEER – Just a day after Kole Peterson tossed a no-hitter for North Central, Branden Turner and Ryan Bethel teamed up for the Eagles holding the Montpelier Locomotives to only a first inning Hunter McKelvey bloop single to center. The North Central bats erupted for 12 hits as every started had at least one safety leading the Eagles to a 9-0 win on April 16.
Turner hurled the first five innings for North Central giving up one hit, five strikeouts, one walk and hit one batter. Bethel chucked the last two frames fanning four and walking a pair.
Spencer Durham started for the Locos allowing six runs on 10 hits, while whiffing one and walking one in five innings. Cody Caudill pitched the sixth frame giving up three unearned runs on two hits, one K and one free pass to first.

Jalen Dancer continued his torrid pace at the plate slugging a solo homer in the bottom of the first inning and later added a single. Peterson stroked two singles and drove in one run, while Taylor Radcliffe singled twice. Josh Sawyer smacked a two run double, with Colton Pilmore and Ryan Bethel each adding two run singles. Clayton Ferguson drove in one run with a base hit, while Gage Fee and Dylan Hutchison each collected singles. North Central squared their record at 5-5 on the season with the win.
