Bruce Miller … Giving Credit Where It’s Due

June 11, 2013Updated:December 31, 2020No Comments2 Mins Read

The name Bruce Miller is synonymous with youth baseball programs throughout the area. He took a lifeless and dormant program in Fayette, and through his love for the game, put baseball back in the Fayette High School, and in the community. Having retired from the Fayette position, he is organizing the Montpelier Pony League, but he is also the first to tell you that he is not doing it alone.

“It’s really tough raising money for two Pony League teams,” he said, but added that he is eternally grateful for the community support that he has received. “The Montpelier Parks Department, The Village of Montpelier, CK Technologies, 20/20 Molded Plastics, Moore Industries, the Montpelier Civic League, the Montpelier Fire Department,” he said; “without the help of these people, the kids would not have the chance to play the greatest summer sport.”

With the help of local businesses and organization, Bruce Miller is making sure that America’s Game is remaining strong in Locomotive Country. The Great American Pastime is alive, well and flourishing in Montpelier, Ohio.
