On August 16, 2024 at 10:04pm, the Defiance Police Department responded to a report of a deceased male subject lying under the Hopkins St. bridge off of Auglaize St.
Responding officers from the Defiance Police Department located the unresponsive male and requested Defiance Fire and Rescue to respond to the scene. The unresponsive male was found to deceased.
The deceased male was found with an apparent gunshot wound to the head and was identified as 18-year-old Liam Bouldrey of 737 Summit St. in Defiance. His death remains under investigation.
Assisting at the scene was the Defiance County Coroner’s Office, Defiance Fire and Rescue, and the Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI).
