WEST UNITY – Montpelier remained perfect in Buckeye Border Conference action following an 80-44 victory over Hilltop for the Locos eighth straight win.
The Locos (11-1, 3-0 BBC) raced out to a 25-8 first quarter lead and eventually coasted to the convincing triumph.
CJ Fidler led Montpelier with 24 points, 15 of those coming in the first half. Wesley Hartsock added 18 points, Kenneth Smeltzer contributed 13 points, and Gavyn Bass finished with 10 points.
Drew Bailey led Hilltop (7-6, 1-2 BBC) with 12 points and Anthony Jiannuzzi had 11 points.
