BRYAN (August 7, 2025) – It has already been a busy week on the golf links for the Pettisville Blackbirds. On Thursday, the Blackbirds won their third straight invitational title this past week winning the Edgerton Invitational at Suburban Golf Club.

Pettisville successfully defended its title with a solid 322 score led by freshman Graycen Osterday and junior Rylee Brevard who both shot a 78. Teammates Dawson Knierim and Kaleb Wyse both shot 83s and Gavin Knierim shot an 86.


“Any time when you have a score in the 320s, it’s a good day,” said Pettisville head coach Mike Zimmerman. “This rounds out a good week this week for us.

It was the third consecutive tournament title for the Blackbirds. On Tuesday, the Blackbirds won the Wauseon Invitational with a tourney-record score of 299, and on Wednesday, they went to Moose Landing at Kalida and shot a 312.

“We’re real thrilled what the guys are shooting,” pointed out Zimmerman. “But we still got work to do and there is stuff out there we still got to clean up. We want to continue to get better next week.”


Pettisville has as busy week coming up competing at Lima Shawnee (Monday), hosting Archbold and Perrysburg (Tuesday) and return to Stone Ridge participating in the Woodmore Invitational (Wednesday).

Lincolnview was runner-up with a 332 score followed by Hicksville (355), Hilltop (358), Ayersville (359), Emmanuel Christian (363), Fayette (377), Stryker (389), North Central (396), Edgerton (398), Delphos Jefferson (399), and Defiance (434).

Kolton Adams of Hicksville claimed medalist honors with a 76 while Austin Gault of Hilltop tallied a 78 along with Pettisville’s Osterday and Brevard as both had the same individual score.
