BRYAN BOARD OF EDUCATION: Board Sets Date For Organizational Meeting

The Bryan Board of Education held their meeting on Monday, December 12th. The meeting began at 6:00 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance before moving on to approve the minutes from the previous meeting held on November 21st.

Communications followed after with reports given from school administrators. The treasurer’s report followed next with the board moving to approve the following items.

A list of amended permanent appropriations and YMCA pool rental agreement. The organizational and regular meetings for 2023 were also discussed and set for January 9th, 2023, at 6:00 p.m.

Deb Opdycke was appointed as President Pro-Tem for the organizational meeting.

The board also moved to appoint Ben Camarillo as the Four County Career Center Board Representative for 2023-2025.


Superintendent recommendations were heard next with the following items being passed by the board.

Approval of the 6th-12th grade curriculum guide for 2023-2024 and club sports for indoor track during the winter season as well as numerous personnel recommendations.

The board then moved to enter into executive session at 7:33 p.m. Upon their return at 8:06 p.m. the meeting was adjourned.
