Christmas is only 26 days away and downtown Bryan is ready. Santa has been to town, decorations are up, and lights are strung. On November 27th at 6:30 pm a Christmas Parade went through the square. Santa even made his arrival in a horse drawn sleigh.
A band played Christmas music, elves walked along the parade route handing children candy, there was a prayer and candle lighting, and an outdoor Christmas market was there. Hot cocoa and cookies were also given out.
Christkindl Market had stalls set all over selling goods and handing out Christmas bells to everyone. Items in these little shops included books, food, handmade signs and Christmas Decor, and several other items. All the vendors were extremely nice and everywhere you looked people were smiling.
Despite the cold weather, the turnout was amazing. After the parade, Santa came back to his house and the children were able to tell him what they wanted for Christmas and get a candy cane from one of his elves.
