Charles “Chuck” H. Aska, age 93, of Delta, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Sunday evening, August 17, 2025, at StoryPoint Waterville Memory Care.
He was born in Sandwich, Illinois, to Carl and Mazie (Vincent) Aska. Chuck worked for many years as a dedicated truck driver with Floits Trucking Company and later with Munson and Sons Trucking, providing for his family with hard work and determination.
On July 15, 1955, Chuck married the love of his life, Violet Voshell. They shared 55 years of marriage until her passing on December 1, 2010.
Together, Chuck and Violet enjoyed traveling the country in their motor home, making countless memories across the United States. Chuck also loved the outdoors and adventure, especially skiing in Colorado and even white-water rafting.
He is survived by his children, Denise (Kyle) Clark of South Carolina, Donna Beckman of Wisconsin, Dianne (Dan) Ruplinger of Delta, and David (Melissa) Aska of Colorado; brother, Gene (Debbie) Aska and sister, Sharon (Bob) Densmore; 7 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Chuck was preceded in death by his grandson, Justin Linden; brothers, Stanley and Richard Aska; and sisters, Barb and Karen.
He will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, and hardworking provider whose zest for life and spirit of adventure left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Services will be private for the family. Arrangements are entrusted to Barnes Funeral Chapel and Crematory, 5825 St. Hwy. 109 in Delta.
