The Chesterfield Township Trustees held their meeting on Monday, April 20, 2026. The meeting was called to order at 7:03 p.m. The meeting began with the approval of the previous regular meeting minutes, which were approved as read.
Trustees also approved the bills presented at the meeting. The fiscal officer’s report followed, with trustees reviewing the payment listing for April 6 through April 20, along with the payment register, receipt register, fund status, cash journal and cash summary by fund. It was also reported that a cemetery lot had been sold in Butler Cemetery.
Trustees then reviewed the township’s Ohio Plan insurance policy, with no changes made. It was also noted that Innovatec had installed new software to provide increased cybersecurity for the township’s computer system.

Trustees approved a Then and Now purchase order in the amount of $21.16, with all three trustees voting in favor. The road report followed next, with Herb Harris reporting that he had worked on roads and in the shop as needed.
Trustees also received a quote from John Deere for an AP12G Fixed Pallet Fork in the amount of $1,228.84 and agreed to move forward with the purchase.
It was also reported that Jake Holland is finishing work on County Road 14 for ditch maintenance.

Trustees then reviewed several right-of-way permits received from the Fulton County Engineer’s Office for fiberoptic cable being installed by Charter Communications.
Trustees also reviewed information regarding a planned closure on County Road 14 from 20A to Route 20 during the summer of 2028.
The closure is expected to last 90 days, and questions or comments must be submitted within 30 days.
Trustees then approved participation in the ODOT Road Salt Contracts awarded in 2026, requesting 50 tons of salt. The measure was approved by all three trustees.
In zoning matters, trustees noted that a permit had been received for an in ground pool. They were also informed that, according to the Fulton County Prosecuting Attorney, the Fulton County Regional Planning Commission is no longer requesting resolutions for lot splits.
The meeting was then adjourned at 8:15 p.m.
