Chris S. Thompson (1956 – 2016)

chris-thompsonChris Steven Thompson, 60 years, of Bryan, and formerly of West Unity, passed away unexpectedly, on Sunday, November 13, 2016 at his residence in Bryan. Chris was born May 16, 1956 in Bryan, Ohio the son of Hal Dewey and Caroline Virginia (Theobald) Thompson.

Chris was employed at Quadco and loved his job. He had also worked on the farm. He attended Alvordton United Brethren Church as well as Life Changing Realities Fellowship in Edgerton. Chris was a guy who asked many questions whenever he encountered you. He was an avid Ohio State Fan and attended the spring game every year. He also enjoyed traveling, recently going to Kentucky to the Corvette Museum and the Louisville Bat factory and Mackinaw Island in Michigan.

Surviving is his mother, Caroline of West Unity; two brothers, Mike (Cindy) Thompson of Carey, Ohio and Kirk Thompson of West Unity; two sisters, Vicki Thompson of Napoleon, and Jodi Thompson, of Bryan. He was preceded in death by his father, Hal Dewey Thompson and one sister, Leann Thompson.

Visitation for Chris Steven Thompson will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 202 North Liberty Street, West Unity. Funeral services for Chris will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 16, 2016 with Pastor Dan VanArsdalen officiating. Interment will follow in Floral Grove Cemetery, West Unity.

The family wishes to express their thanks to the staff at the Cardinal Home in Bryan for their exceptional care given to Chris all these years.
