Connie Y. Bidwell, age 79, of Edon, Ohio, passed away at 9:15 A.M. on Wednesday, July 12, 2017, at Evergreen Manor Nursing Home in Montpelier, Ohio, after a brief illness, with her family at her side.
Mrs. Bidwell was a 1956 graduate of Edon High School and had been employed as an agent with the Farm Service Agency in Williams County, retiring with twenty-seven years of service. She was an avid reader and loved her pets, spending time with family, attending the sporting events of her children and grandchildren, and traveling with family and friends. She also was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Edon and had worked on the board of elections for many years.
Connie Y. Bidwell was born on May 23, 1938, in Edon, Ohio, the daughter of William J. and Opal (Dirr) Kunsman. She married Ronald K. “Pal” Bidwell on May 11, 1957, in Montpelier, Ohio, and he preceded her in death on April 26, 2002.
Survivors include two daughters, Wanda Clark, of Cecil, Ohio, and Peggy (Toby) Rupp, of Edon; two sons, Andrew “Scott” Bidwell, of Camden, Michigan, and Chuck (Heidi) Bidwell, of Edon, Ohio; nine grandchildren, Ronald and Rachael Pearson, Jordan (Jessica) Bidwell and Meghan (Mike) O’Neal, Tom, Matt and Nick Bidwell, and Graeden and Garrett Rupp; one great-grandchild, Raelynn Pearson; four brothers, Jerry Kunsman, of Eugene, Oregon, Bill (Sharon) Kunsman, of Palmdale, California, Robert (Melinda) Kunsman, of Bryan, Ohio, and Michael (Gail) Kunsman, of Yuba City, California; one sister, Judy (Ron) Long, of Hamilton, Indiana; and her special aunt, Joy Meeks, of Edon. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one infant sister, Beverly Ann Kunsman, and one brother, Richard.
Memorials are requested to Community Health Professionals Hospice and Home Health, 127 Blakeslee, Avenue, Bryan, Ohio, or to Visiting Angels in Edgerton.
