(October 3rd, 2014)-CEDARVILLE: Jessica Kern, the daughter of John and Heidi Kern, competed for the Tiffin University Womens Cross Country Team at the All-Ohio Invitational.
The Delta native ran in a field of 503 for the women’s heat, taking tenth place overall in the event with a time of 23:00:31. This was not only the best finish of any Tiffin runner on the day, but the best of any Tiffin runner ever at the event.
Captain of the Cross Country Team, Kern is also a model student. She is double majoring in forensic psychology and human services, while minoring in law enforcement. Despite that massive workload, Kern is set to graduate in May of 2015. She has also obtained All-Academic Honors.
