The Edgerton Branch Library provides many great programs to the public! Here is the April schedule of the regular programming that takes place at the library.

Several different weekly programs for children are offered. On Tuesdays at 6:30 pm, the library holds “Toddler Time” which is a story time for kids ages 2 to 5 years old.

On designated Wednesdays, different age groups will meet from 3:00 to 4:00 pm throughout the month for the Lego Club. Scheduled meetings are April 13th for kids in Kindergarten only. On April 20th grades 1st and 2nd will meet. Lego Club for grades 3rd, 4th, and 5th will be held on April 27th.

The Adult Book Club, “Open Horizons” meets the second Tuesday of each month. On Tuesday, April 12th at 7:00 pm, “Every Fifteen Minutes” by Lisa Scottoline will be discussed. If you are interested in joining the club, stop by the library and pick up a copy of the next book to be discussed. All are welcome to join!

On Friday, April 8th the Edgerton Branch Library will be holding “Bingo for Books” from 4:00 to 5:00 pm. Winners who get a Bingo get to choose a free book! This event is open to school-age kids and is limited to 20 participants.

In celebration of National Poetry Month, the Edgerton Branch Library will be doing “Book Spine Poetry” for the month of April. People can create their own poem using the spines of 4-7 books to create a poem. They can do it at the library or use books from their own collection and take a picture and email it to shanea@mywcpl.org. They just need to put Book Spine Poetry Contest in the subject line. A prize will be awarded for the top poem submitted.

The Edgerton Branch Library will be holding a “Canvas and Cookies!” Painting Class on Monday, April 18 from 6:00 to 7:30 pm. This class will have a “Foxes” theme and is for kids in grades 1st through 6th. Cost will be $15.00 and class size is limited to 15 kids. Refreshments and snacks will be provided.

Please call or stop in to the library to register for “Canvas and Cookies!” or any of the other events. The Edgerton Branch Library is located at 319 North Michigan Avenue. For more information, contact Shanea Herman at 419-298-3230.
