Edon Northwest Local Schools is pleased to announce eighth-grader Hunter Cormier (pictured, left) as Edon Junior High Student of the Month for March 2016. “Hunter is a work in progress; a young man with a heart of gold,” noted Mr. John Gallehue. “Recently, his grades have improved tremendously due to hard work and persistence. He is, for the first time, taking pride in his work.” In addition to having his picture displayed in the main school hallway and District website, Hunter received a special Student of the Month Certificate, pin and ten dollar gift card to Slattery’s Marathon as well. Hunter is the son of Molly Krontz.

Edon Northwest Local Schools is pleased to announce sophomore Logan Bloir (pictured, right) as Edon High School Student of the Month for March 2016. “When I first met Logan in 5th grade, I knew he would do great things throughout his school career and be a huge asset to our school district, and he has done this and more,” shared Mrs. Cathy Frastaci. “Logan is an extremely well rounded student. He is a great athlete, scholar, and musician. He is never afraid to take a risk and try something new. Logan lit up our stage for the past two years of musicals by putting in hard work, dedication, and by really getting into his characters.” In addition to having his picture displayed in the main school hallway and District website, Logan received a special Student of the Month Certificate, pin and ten dollar gift card to Slattery’s Marathon as well. Logan is the son of Jason and Tricia Bloir.

Nominated by teachers, the grades 7-12 student-recognition program honors recipients for his or her classroom accomplishments and behavior, peer relations, extracurricular involvement or overall good and respectful attitude.

In addition to having their pictures displayed in the main school hallway and District website, Hunter and Logan were each awarded a special Student of the Month Certificate, pin and ten dollar gift card to Slattery’s Marathon as well.
