Ethel L. Weigel (1926 – 2016)

Ethel L. Weigel, age 90, of Delta, peacefully passed away early Tuesday morning, November 1, 2016 at Swanton Health Care.  Ethel was born in Colton, Ohio on October 17, 1926 to the late Austin and Delcy (Harpert) Smith.

Ethel worked as a laborer for many years starting at Dohler-Jarvis and ending at Valenite Metals in Whitehouse where she retired. She also worked for Bargain City in Toledo, Community Market, Chief Supermarket and MacQueens Orchard in Holland. She enjoyed mushroom hunting, bowling, fishing and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Ethel is survived by her daughter, Debra Mosher, of Wauseon; her son, Ronald Weigel, of Delta; two grandchildren, Melanie (the late Kevin) Gladieux, of Delta and Richard Mosher, of Wauseon; two great-grandchildren, Blake and Payton Gladieux and one sister, Doris Brown, of Fayette. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Orville, Paul and Harold Smith and two sisters, Nova Snyder and Grace Smith.

All services for Ethel will be private. Barnes Funeral Chapel, 5825 St Hwy 109 in Delta has been entrusted with arrangements. Private interment will take place at Heath Cemetery.  Online condolences may be sent to the family through our website at www.barnesfuneralchapel.com
