INDUCTEES … The 2025 Evergreen FFA Greenhand Inductees. These members were excited to receive their official FFA jackets.

PRESS RELEASE – In mid-November, the chapter hosted its annual Greenhand and Chapter Degree Induction Night. This event is to induct first-year FFA members into the chapter. There were 27 newly inducted Greenhands.

Members met specific requirements such as learning about the Ohio FFA and National FFA Associations, creating a supervised agricultural experience and completing a Greenhand Degree application.

Upon being inducted into the chapter as Greenhands, they received a bronze pin and their official FFA jacket. The greenhand degree is the first-degree members are able to receive when joining the National FFA Organization.

Later in the evening, the chapter degree was awarded to 21 second-year members. Some of the requirements include a minimum of 180 hours of systematic agricultural instruction, having operated and approved supervised agricultural experience and having a minimum of ten hours of community service.

The Evergreen FFA would like to thank everyone who was able to join us in the celebration of these FFA members and their achievements.

A special thank you to Ohio FFA State Treasurer, Taylor Johnson, for sharing an encouraging message to our FFA members.
