(September 23rd, 2014)-PIONEER: Fayette made the trip to North Central, ready to take on the other Eagles of the BBC. The match-up was a good one, with two even teams fighting against one another. Ultimately, it was Fayette who came out on top, needing four sets to do so.
Fayeete came out swinging with a game 1 win 25-15. North Central went right back at them, though, winning game 2 25-22. Game 3 was a tussle, with Fayette taking down the set 25-18. The visiting Eagles were able to win the fourth set as well, claiming victory for the match with a 25-12 score in game 4.
For Fayette, Michaela Bates had 15 kills and 4 digs. McKenzee Schaffner made an incredible 35 digs along with 4 digs and an assist. Hannah Machacek was the workhorse for the team, however, recording 28 assists, 21 digs, and 2 kills.
Abby Auch led North Central with 4 kills. Teammate Alyssa Swank had 4 blocks and 3 kills. Cady VanDeVorde made 10 digs and 10 passes in the loss.
