Four Golden Bear Athletes Sign National Letter Of Intent

BRYAN – Bryan High School was the site as four Golden Bears signed to further their education and continue their athletic careers at the next level.

The group included Joshuah Taylor who will be heading to the University of Toledo to continue his running career. Taylor was a state participant in 2019 and then was 2nd Team All-Ohio in 2020 and 2021 and is the school’s 5K record holder.

Johnathan Dorsten signed with The Ohio State University to become part of their pistol shooting program.

Dorsten’s high school accomplishments include: Air Pistol Events-2021 USA Shooting Winter Air Gun 3rd, CMP North High Overall Pistol Shooter, SASP Nationals 1st, USA Shooting Jr National Team, El Salvador Jr Grand Prix member, 2018-20 Jr Olympic Ohio State Qualifier 1st Place, 2018 4-H Shooting Sports Nationals 10th overall.

Tennis player Kaitlyn Posey is on her way to Spring Arbor University following a record setting season for the Golden Bears.

Posey was a four-time Scholar Athlete, is 1 of 2 girls to ever qualify for Districts in Singles and Doubles, owns 67 career wins, and was part of Bryan’s State Final Four team this year.

The fourth signee was Chloe Wyllie who will be going to Ashland University to join their Elite Dance Team.

Wyllie was a four-time letterwinner, winner of the 2021 Jenny Voight Award, 2021 MVP, 2021 Coaches Award, and took first-place in jumps at the Williams County Cheer Competition.
