The Friends of Harrison Lake held their 4th annual Cruise-In this past weekend. The event was held on Saturday, August 17th near the pavilion at the Harrison Lake State Park near Fayette.
Festivities began at 8:00 a.m. with the serving of donuts and coffee. Several craft vendors were present at the event, with tents opening at 10:00 a.m. and lunch being served at 10:30 a.m.
Of course, with the event being called a Cruise-In, there were around a hundred cars and tractors present for those who came out.
Additional activities included a few raffles, with prizes ranging from wood carvings, a $200.00 gift card for the park, and an iRobot Sweeper.
A 50/50 was also held and door prizes were given away to all who brought a car or tractor for the show. Shirts celebrating the 75th anniversary of Harrison Lake and the Ohio State Parks system were also available for sale.
The fourth annual Cruise-In is part of a long line of events thrown by the Friends of Harrison Lake. Previously, the Cruise-In was known as a car show held at the lake and spanned over 22 years. The Cruise-In is now part of around 5 to 6 events the group puts on throughout the year.
