FULTON COUNTY COMMISSIONERS: Commissioners Set Hearing Date For Ditch 2147 In Amboy Township

The Fulton County Commissioners held their first meeting of the week on Tuesday, June 28th. The meeting began at 9:01 a.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance and a prayer.

Commissioners first moved to approve the minutes from the previous meeting held on June 23rd before then moving to approve the agenda and list of bills for payment. The following agenda items were then approved.


-Resolution 2022-442 for the increase and transfer of appropriations for various departments.

-Resolution 2022-443 to approve pay request #1 to Miller Brothers Construction for Contract 2022-39 Bridge 2A.4 Replacement.

-Resolution 2022-444 to approve purchase orders and travel requests.


-Resolution 2022-445 to reschedule the bid opening for the Water Boost Pump Station Upgrade Project.

Commissioners then heard departmental updates from Lauren Lester from the Marketing and Communication Department and Brian Banister from the Dog Warden’s Office.

A short hearing then took place for the 2023 Tax Budget Hearing before Commissioners moved to adjourn at 10:41 a.m.

The Commissioners second meeting of the week took place on Thursday, June 30th. The meeting began at 9:00 a.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance and a prayer.


Commissioners first moved to approve the minutes from the June 28th meeting as well as the agenda. A review then took place regarding the Dog Warden Reports for periods ending 06/11/22 and 06/18/22.

The Ohio Unemployment Rate Report for May 2022 was then discussed before Commissioners received a notice for a New Ditch Petition – 2147 Amboy Township. The following agenda items were then approved.

-Resolution 2022-448 to set a date and time for the viewing and first hearing for Ditch 2147- Amboy Township.

-Resolution 2022-449 for the increase and transfer of appropriations for various departments.

-Resolution 2022-450 to cancel the session on July 12, 2022.

-Resolution 2022-451 to approve purchase orders and travel requests.

The meeting was then put into recess at 9:04 a.m. Upon returning at 9:15 a.m. Commissioners heard a departmental update from Melissa J. Rupp, Eric Richer, and Sara Lewis from the OSU Extension Office.

Topics discussed involved the previous Real World Real Money exercises that took place this year, canning classes, Natural Resources Programs, research trials taking place with a new emerging Corn Disease, and the 4H Program.

Following the reports, the meeting was adjourned at 9:41 a.m.
