The Fulton County Commissioners held their first meeting of the week on Tuesday, August 13th. The meeting began at 9:00 a.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance and a prayer.
Minutes from the meeting held on August 8th were approved first, along with the current agenda and payment of the bills.
Commissioners also viewed an investment report for the month of July 2024, before moving on to approve the following agenda items.
-Resolution 2024-620: Increase & Transfer Appropriations for Various Departments.
-Resolution 2024-621: Dispose of Unneeded, Obsolete, or Unfit Property for Engineer’s Office.
-Resolution 2024-622: Approve Oversight of Contract 2024-83 with BPS Technologies on Behalf of JFS.
-Resolution 2024-623: Establish a Voluntary Retirement Incentive Plan for Auditor’s Office.
-Resolution 2024-625: Approve Purchase Orders and Travel Requests.
Lastly, the commissioners moved to table Resolution 2024-624, for the Approval of change order #1 to Contract 2022-131 with Wessler Engineering. This action was done by approving Resolution 2024-626 for the tabling of the resolution.
With no other items requiring attention, Commissioners moved to adjourn at 9:05 a.m.
Commissioners then held their second meeting of the week on Thursday, August 15th. The meeting began at 9:00 a.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance and a prayer.
Minutes from the August 13th meeting were then approved, along with the current agenda. The following agenda items were then approved.
-Resolution 2024-629: Increase & Transfer Appropriations for Various Departments.
-Resolution 2024-630: Approve Oversight to Amend #1 to Contract 2024-64 with Keeping Kids Safe on Behalf of JFS.
-Resolution 2024-631: Approve Oversight of Contract 2024-85 with McLaurin Behavioral Health on Behalf of JFS.

-Resolution 2024-632: Approve Oversight of Contract 2024-86 with Reflections Group Home on Behalf of JFS.
-Resolution 2024-633: Approve Recommendation of County Engineer for Load Rating Reductions on Various County Bridges.
-Resolution 2024-634: Approve Purchase Orders and Travel Requests.
Commissioners next heard from Rod Short regarding ditch improvements for petition 2152, before then moving to enter into executive session to consider confidential information related to plans for economic development.
Following executive session, the commissioners moved to adjourn the meeting.
