The Fulton County Commissioners met for their regular session on Tuesday, January 27, 2026. Following the Pledge of Allegiance and opening prayer, the board approved the minutes from the January 22 meeting and the agenda as presented for the day.

Commissioners approved payment of the bills and appropriations that included a transfer of $22,738.71 from the Soil and Water Conservation District rent account to cover first quarter 2026 rent and airport storage expenses.

Multiple contracts related to child support enforcement services through the Department of Job and Family Services were also approved.

Commissioners approved oversight of Contract 2026-08 with the Fulton County Common Pleas Court for IV-D magistrate services, in the amount of $5,704.37.

The contract covers services for the 2026 calendar year. A separate IV-D contract was approved with the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office for service of process, totaling $2,745.18 for the year.

The board also approved another IV-D contract with the Sheriff’s Office for extradition services related to child support cases. That contract was approved in the amount of $12,000.00 for 2026.

Following a bid opening, a bid was awarded for the Village of Lyons Water Tower Replacement Project to Maguire Iron, Inc. of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

The low bid of $2,454,000.00 was recommended by project engineer Verdantas LLC as the lowest and best responsible bid. A total of two bids were received, with Coldwell Tanks, Inc. submitting a bid of $2,811,200.00.

The engineer’s estimated project cost was $2,215,000.00. The project will be funded through a combination of CDBG Critical Infrastructure funds, Ohio EPA loan financing, OPWC grant and loan funds, Revolving Loan Fund dollars, and Village of Lyons contributions.

The planned completion date for the water tower replacement project is August 31, 2026.

Additional items approved included various appropriations requests, internal fund transfers, personnel requests on behalf of Job and Family Services, and approval of purchase orders and travel requests.

With nothing further, the meeting was adjourned.
