WEST UNITY – The Eagles took sole possession of first place in the BBC by scoring six runs in the seventh to secure a 13-1 victory.

Zach Hayes tossed a complete game one-hitter to get the win for North Central and Connor Gendron had three hits and two RBIs

MONTPELIER – Garrett Girrell lifted a solo blast in sixth and Jaxon Richmond locked down the Tigers bats as the Locos handed Holgate their first loss in the BBC 2-1.

Richmond allowed just two hits in seven innings of work while chalking up nine strikeouts.

LIBERTY CENTER –Swanton tied the game 7-7 in the fifth, but the Tigers tallied the game winning run in the sixth as they pulled out an 8-7 win.

Emma St. Clair topped Liberty Center with a 3-4 game at the plate and two RBIs. Rheannah Kesler went 2-3 for the Bulldogs with a triple, home run, and drove in two runs.

PETTISVILLE – Pettisville started fast with a five-run first inning and were able to hold off the Eagles for a 9-6 BBC win.

Elisabeth Rochefort had two home runs and a triple as part of a 3-3 day at the plate with three RBIs. Emma Leininger had three hits and knocked in a pair of runs for the Eagles.

MONTPELIER – Down 5-0 entering the bottom of the third, the Loco bats came alive to score 17 runs in the last four inning to get a 17-7 win in six innings.

Alyssa Custer had a five-hit game for Montpelier while Kaycee Humbarger, Bianca Phongphiou, Custer, and Madelyn Hopper each drove in three runs.

Gabby Ramon collected four hits for the Panthers while Emmalee and Haylee Fulk each had three hits and drove in two runs.

Ashley Kaylor had a double for Edon and Emma Hickman connected for three hits and knocked in a run.

Lola Giesige posted three RBIs for the Bulldogs, Noelle Ritter doubled, and Casey Everetts homered.
