BOYS BASKETBALL

North Central 70 Fayette 59

PIONEER – Zach Hayes scored ten points in the first quarter and finished with a game-high 24 points as North Central (9-5, 5-0 BBC) got the win at home over Fayette.

Joey Burt was next for North Central with 19 and Ben Petit added 14. Quinn Mitchell had 18 to lead three Fayette (10-6, 3-2 BBC) players in double figures with Xander Dunnett tallying 17, and Elijah Lerma added 10.

JUNIOR VARSITY: North Central, 39-22

Hilltop 59 Montpelier 55

WEST UNITY – Carson Jennings had 19 points and Ian Hoffman registered 18 to lead the Cadets (2-10, 1-3 BBC) to their first BBC win of the season.

Montpelier (2-13, 0-5 BBC) was topped by 14 each from Garrett Walz and Jamison Grime while Trent Thorp had 10.

JUNIOR VARSITY: Hilltop, 38-32

Stryker 41 Holgate 38

HOLGATE – The Tigers fought back from a 33-20 deficit after three quarters with four triples in the fourth quarter to close the gap before Stryker (7-10, 2-3 BBC) held on for a 41-38 win.

Jacob Cadwell fronted Stryker with 10 while Abe Kelly led Holgate (4-11, 1-4 BBC) with five three-pointers to total 15 points.

Ayersville 72 Edgerton 48

DEFIANCE – The Pilots (12-3, 4-1 GMC) used a 32-17 second half to pull away for a 74-48 win at home over the visitors from Edgerton.

Corey Everetts led the scoring for the Bulldogs (3-13, 0-5 GMC) with 18 and Cole Meyer had 14.

JUNIOR VARSITY: Ayersville, 36-25

Archbold 52 Delta 21

ARCHBOLD – The Bluestreaks raced out to a 30-9 lead at halftime and cruised to a 52-21 win.

Archbold (11-5, 3-1 NWOAL) made nine trifectas as a team, led by four from Alex Roth as he ended the night with 15 points.

James Ruple had two field goals and a free throw for five points to lead Delta (6-8, 1-3 NWOAL).

JUNIOR VARSITY: Archbold, 46-16

Wauseon 48 Evergreen 34

WAUSEON – Wauseon’s Jonas Tester had eight buckets and two free throws for a game-high 18 points as Wauseon (9-7, 2-1 NWOAL) got the NWOAL win over Evergreen (6-8, 2-2 NWOAL) 48-34.

Eli Keifer and Ethan Loeffler each scored eight for the Vikings.

FRESHMAN: Wauseon, 21-15

Swanton 52 Liberty Center 43

LIBERTY CENTER – Swanton (15-2, 4-0 NWOAL led 27-21 at halftime and then outscored Liberty Center (5-9, 1-3 NWOAL) 11-4 in the third to take control and remain undefeated in the NWOAL.

The Bulldogs, who held a 19-3 advantage at the free throw line, were paced in scoring by Nic Borojevich with 18 and his brother Luc had 17.

FRESHMAN: Liberty Center, 36-11

Patrick Henry 42 Bryan 28

BRYAN – The underdog Golden Bears (1-12, 0-3 NWOAL) led 21-18 at halftime, but Patrick Henry (11-5, 2-2 NWOAL) responded with a 24-7 second half to pick up the win.

Craig Jackson was 6/10 from the field to garner a team-high 13 points for Bryan.

BOYS BOWLING

Wauseon 2,173 Evergreen 2,163

NAPOLEON – Parker Black posted a 187 in the opening game and followed that with a 247 to lead Wauseon (2-8, 2-6 NWOAL) past Evergreen.

Wauseon’s Kage Little complimented the 434 series by Black with a 380 (202, 178). Derek Cobb led Evergreen (1-9, 1-8 NWOAL) with games of 166 and 200 in the loss.

Bryan 2,495 Tinora 2,128

BRYAN – Three Bryan (9-1) bowlers combined for four games of 200+ as they defeated Tinora 2,495-2,128.

Dakota Brandeberry rolled the high series for Bryan with a 460 (263, 197), Matt Meade had a 435 (203, 232), and LeLyn Boothman added a 404 (207, 197).

Liberty Center 2,418 Swanton 2,359

SWANTON – Liberty Center led by just two pins (1870-1868) following match play but used a 548-491 win in the Baker Games to pull away from the Bulldogs.

Conner Williams fronted a balanced effort form Swanton with a 392 (163, 229), Marty Mosher fired a 390 (179, 211), and Seth Sweet tallied a 383 (232, 151).

Delta 2,425 Patrick Henry 2,262

SWANTON – Gabe Syverson rolled a 448 (212, 236) and Brody Waugh had a 383 (174, 209) to lead Delta (4-7, 3-7 NWOAL) over Patrick Henry (7-4, 6-3 NWOAL) 2,425-2,262.

GIRLS BOWLING

Wauseon 2,006 Evergreen 2,002

NAPOLEON – After the Vikings (3-6, 2-6 NWOAL) won game one (855-814) of match play the Indians rallied to take game two (789-727) and they were able to hold on for a four-pin victory.

Danielle Carr topped Wauseon (3-4, 2-4 NWOAL) with games of 212 and 216 for a 428 series and Jayde Ramos added a 395 (183, 212).

Keigan Schuster and Carly Kanneman rolled a 339 series and a 336 series, respectively, to pace Evergreen.

Bryan 2,208 Tinora 1,106

BRYAN – The Golden Bears took command with 910-343 lead after game one of match play as they rolled to the non-league win over a short-handed Tinora squad.

Faith Harding tallied the high games (203, 224) for Bryan (9-1) to give her the high series (427) in the match.

Patrick Henry 1,996 Delta 1,891

SWANTON – Delta’s (2-7, 1-7 NWOAL) Ciarra Flickinger posted a game of 179 followed by a 203 for a 382 series as they fell to Patrick Henry (7-2, 5-2 NWOAL) 1996-1,891.
