(September 16th, 2014)-STRYKER: For the first time this year, after starting the season with three straight losses, the Eighth Grade Lady Cadets have more wins than losses.
With both junior high teams making the trip to Stryker, the elder Cadets had to wait their turn to play. The Seventh Grade game was a back and forth affair, using all three sets to pick a winner. The hometown Panthers bounced back from a 25-15 defeat in game 1, staking their claim into the second game with a 25-21 victory. Game 3 belonged to the visiting Cadets, though, taking the set and the match 25-11.
The Lady Cadet Eighth Graders wasted no time in their match with Stryker, garnering a 25-18 win in game 1. Ever resilient, the Lady Panthers came roaring back in the second set with a 25-16 victory, forcing a third game. A terrific battle ensued, with the visiting Cadets just edging out Stryker 25-20 to claim the match.
