The 5th graders at North Central in Pioneer had a moment they worked hard on all year come to fruition on Friday, May 17th.
Abbie Apple, the teacher behind it all, shared how last year saw a mini version of this, sort of like a soft launch, that concluded in classroom presentations.
This year, the ante was upped, and the students were given all year to compile projects that highlighted their interests and ingenuity.
These projects were viewed by community members who were happy to come in, and Abbie shared that the kids showed even more enthusiasm and confidence after receiving some positive feedback on the projects they’ve worked so hard on.
Each student (besides two that joined the class late) had their own project, resulting in 32 displays. They ranged in topics and were subdivided into the following six categories: engineering, food, botany, physical, practical, and earth.
“I just want the kids to know how well they did,” shared Abbie Apple, “words cannot describe how proud I am of the hard work they’ve done throughout the year.” She continued with “their effort shows today -big time.”
