The Jefferson Township Board of Trustees held its regular meeting on Monday, April 20.
Vice-Chairman Scott Oberlin called the meeting to order with trustees Brian Batterson and Austin Poynter in attendance. Maintenance Supervisor Mark Bowers was also present.
Fiscal Officer Linda Beck read the minutes of the April 6 meeting, and they were approved.
Oberlin then made a motion to approve the time sheets, with Batterson seconding the motion. The motion was approved.
OLD BUSINESS
Batterson presented a quote from Ward Construction Company in the amount of $47,497.40 to chip/seal approximately four miles of road. Oberlin then made a motion to approve the quote, with Batterson seconding it.
The trustees discussed the ongoing drainage issue at County Road M and County Road 16. Following the discussion, action was tabled on the drainage issue.
Bowers presented a quote from Sutton Construction, Inc., in the amount of $11,500 to concrete County Road M at State Route 15. It will repair the road where heavy trucks are breaking down the road.
Oberlin made a motion to approve the quote from Sutton Construction, Inc., for the road repair, with Poynter seconding it. The motion passed.

Another quote from Sutton Construction was also presented in the amount of $13,500 to repair a section of County Road J-35.
Poynter made the motion to approve the quote from Sutton Construction, Inc., with Oberlin seconding it. The motion passed.
Bowers presented a quote from CV Electric in the amount of $957.48 to install an additional light on the south end of the maintenance building.
Oberlin made the motion to approve CV Electric for the installation of the light, with Batterson seconding it. The motion passed.
NEW BUSINESS
Batterson made a motion to approve Charge Vouchers 48-2026 through 50-2026, Warrants 19265 through 19285 and Withholding Vouchers 51-2026 through 54-2026, with Poynter seconding it. The motion was approved.
Batterson made a motion to approve the Fund Status in the amount of $1,232,277.04, with Poynter seconding it. The motion was approved.
Oberlin made a motion to approve the March bank statement with a balance of $1,254,819.11, with Poynter seconding it. The motion was approved.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:06 p.m.
