Juanita L. Brandt (1942-2013)

Juanita L. Brandt, 71, of Montpelier died early Thursday morning at the Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers in Bryan, Ohio. She was born on May 1, 1942 in Bridgewater Township to Monroe H. and Roberta M. (Orsborn) Briner. Juanita graduated from Montpelier High School in 1960, in 1962 she graduated from Boyd College in Cleveland and then she graduated from the Beauty College in Cleveland. While in Cleveland she worked at Higbee’s as a beautician.

On August 21, 1965 Juanita married Robert H. Brandt and he survives. That same year Juanita began working in Montpelier as a beautician ending her 50 year career at The Hair Station. For 41 years Juanita was a very active member of the First Presbyterian Church in Montpelier. She was involved in the Rebecca Circle, the bell choir, chancel choir, and taught Sunday School for many years. She also loved quilting and was a former member of the Montpelier Civic League.

Juanita is survived by her husband Robert, three sons Rod (Robin) Brandt of New Bremen, Ohio, Michael (Hayley) Brandt of Montpelier, and Jason E. Brandt of Montpelier; one brother Monroe “Hank” (Sandy) Briner of Bryan, Ohio; two sisters Dorothy V. Briner of Montpelier, and Sharon E. Kirian of Trinity, Florida; four grandchildren Meagan, Stephanie, Carson and Tyler Brandt.

She was preceded in death by her parents Monroe and Roberta Briner.
