Katherine Anne “Kathy” Planson, age 60, of Stryker, passed away Wednesday evening, January 24, 2018, at Community Hospital and Wellness Center in Bryan. Kathy had worked at Fypon in Archbold for many years. Kathy was born in Montpelier, Ohio on March 16, 1957, the daughter of LaMar and Jean (Lindholm) Moreland. In 1996 she married Terry “Boots” Planson, and he survives. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles in Bryan and she loved bowling.
Surviving, besides her husband, Boots, are children; Kimberly (Nick Johnson) Gaoiran of Stryker, Kraig Hornung of Stryker; her mother, Jean Locke of Pioneer; grandchildren, Hannah, Orion, Jakob, Aidden, Ellie, and Noah; and siblings, Cindy (Brian) Royer of Angola, IN, Chris (Eli) Hartman of West Columbia, SC, Susan Howe of West Unity, James (Mindy) Moreland of Belleville, MI, Eric (Mary) Moreland of Pioneer, and Buddy (Tonya) Moreland of Stryker. She is also survived by her step-mother, Sonja Moreland of Pioneer. She was preceded in death by her father, LaMar Moreland and step-father, Bob Locke.
Visitation for Kathy will be held from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. on Friday, January 26, 2018, at the Grisier Funeral Home in Stryker. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, also in the funeral home, with Pastor Donna Stutzman, officiating. Interment will follow in the Evansport Cemetery.
