FAIRVIEW: April 1, 2014: – Despite a tremendous effort by Lady Cadet Bailey Funkhouser on the mound, the Lady Cadets dropped a tight 2-1 decision to the Lady Apaches on the road on April 1. After two close non-conference outings the Lady Cadets sit at 0-2 on the season with a pair of home stands coming up before opening BBC action.
Funkhouser went the distance in the game, going 6 innings giving up 4 hits and a pair of runs while recording 1 strikeout and just 2 base on balls. Offensively, LeAnn Joost, Brooke Chapin, along with Funkhouser each recorded hits, with Chapin scoring the lone Cadet run.
