Larry W. Apt

Apt, 75 years, of Sherwood, passed away Sunday, October 9, 2016 at Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice Center, Defiance.  Larry was born October 19, 1940 in Bryan, the son of John and Winnona Rowley.  He was a 1958 graduate of Kunkle High School.  He married Ruth Ann Herge on April 4, 1970 in Ridgeville, Ohio, and she preceded him in death on December 27, 2015.  Larry was a machinist at the former ARO Corp of 40 years, retiring in 2005.

Surviving are his five children, Tammy (Kurt) Wisnofske of Toledo, Jerry Apt of Stryker, Suzanne (Robert) Bailey, III of Sherwood, Michelle Apt of Woodburn, Indiana and Debbie Apt of Fort Wayne, Indiana; nine grandchildren and his mother, Winnona Apt of Kunkle, Ohio.  He was preceded in death by his father, John, his wife, Ruth Ann and one sister, Nancy Apt.

Memorial services for Larry W. Apt will be held Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. in the Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, Lynn Street Chapel, 206 North Lynn Street, Bryan with Pastor Eric Burkhardt officiating.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Wednesday in the funeral home, beginning at 5:00 p.m.

Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial donations be given to Fort Defiance Humane Society, 7169 State Route 15, Defiance, Ohio 43512 or the Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice Center, 6825 State Route 66 North, Defiance, Ohio 43512.
