Leonard Gary Fidler, age 88 years, of Archbold passed away early Friday morning, March 10, 2023 at Kingsbury Place in Defiance.
He was born at Toledo the son of Leonard and Della (Jones) Fidler and married Carolyn Grime on January 16, 1954 and she survives.
A 1953 graduate of Fayette High School he then went to work on at Ohio Art in Bryan for 43 years. At an early age he and his wife built their house in Stryker.
An avid golfer, he was a sports fan and loved watching his grandchildren play sports.
Along with his wife they volunteered at Fulton County Senior Center. He was a member of the Archbold United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Carolyn; four children, Jeff (Marie) Fidler, David Fidler, Tim Fidler, and Amy (Greg) Morr; eight grandchildren, Aaron, Lauren, Nick, Jordan, Jacob, Jessica, Riley and Alana; eight great-grandchildren, Conner, Braxton, Grayson, Ava, Olivia, Amelia, Wyatt, and Millie; and former daughter in law, Melanie Fidler.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson Adam; and a sister, JoAnn.
A public graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 15, at 11 AM at the Archbold Cemetery with Pastor Jason Sharp officiating.
Short Funeral Home in Archbold has been entrusted with the arrangements.
