Madge “Louise” Anderson (1934 – 2025)

Madge “Louise” Anderson, 90, of Perrysburg, Ohio and formerly of West Unity, Ohio passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2025, at Three Meadows Post Acute Nursing Home, Perrysburg.

Louise was born, January 30, 1934, in Logan County, West Virginia, daughter of the late Henry and Hazel (Evans) Spears. She married Homer L. Anderson on October 7, 1955, in Mason, West Virginia and he preceded her in death on August 14, 2007.

Louise worked at A&A Poultry for 30 years as an inspector and sorter. She then went to work at the Montpelier Senior Center for seven years.

She was an active member of St. Paul’s Methodist Church, Montpelier, Ohio where she attended for 30 years. Louise really enjoyed bowling, vacations that came along with her bowling, crocheting.

At the nursing home she enjoyed making crafts and beading with her lady friends. She also enjoyed watching western movies, especially anything that John Wayne acted in.

Surviving are her two grandsons, James (Michelle) Anderson of Big Lake, Minnesota, and Ryan (Cory) Anderson of Maumee, Ohio; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Austin Newsome of Syracuse, Ohio.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Homer Anderson; two sons, Timothy Anderson and Michael Anderson; two brothers, Bennie Spears and B.F. Newsome; sister, Jane Stewart.

To honor Louise’s wishes she will be cremated. Private interment will take place at Carmel Cemetery, Racine, Ohio. Arrangements are in care of Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 202 North Liberty Street, West Unity, Ohio.

Memorial contributions can be made to St. Paul’s Methodist Church or a Charity of the Donor’s Choice. Condolences may be sent to the family or the online guest book may be signed at www.oberlinturnbull.com
