Marilyn Vandock (1933- 2024)

Marilyn A. Vandock, age 90, lifelong resident of Delta, peacefully passed away early Saturday morning, April 6, 2024 at The Lakes of Monclova.

She was born in Wauseon on May 15, 1933 to Kenneth Morr and Eva (Snyder) Morr. On August 17, 1953 she married Roy J. Vandock in Delta and together shared 54 years together until his passing on January 16, 2008.

Marilyn served as school secretary at York School from 1955-1967. She later decided to stay home and care for her husband Roy and two sons, Kevin, and Kerry.

Marilyn was a member of Shiloh Christian Union Church in Delta. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and spending time in the summer at their family cottage on Black Lake.

Most of all Marilyn cherished her family and creating memories with them. She is survived by her sons, Kevin (Vickie) Vandock and Kerry (Joy) Vandock, both of Delta; grandchildren, K. Daniel (Stacey) Vandock, Bethany (Roger Wayne) Diaz, Kent (Danielle) Vandock and Kurt (Jami) Vandock; great grandchildren, Ayane Diaz, Makenna Vandock, Juliana Vandock, Aubree Vandock, Kaleb Vandock, Brennan Vandock and Jensen Vandock.

In honoring Marilyn’s wishes, a private graveside service will be held at Greenlawn Cemetery in Delta, where she will be reunited with her husband Roy.

Those wishing a show of sympathy are asked to make a memorial contribution Shiloh Christian Union Church, 2100 Co Rd 5, Delta, Ohio 43515 in her memory.

Arrangements have been entrusted with Barnes Funeral Chapel and Crematory, 5825 St. Hwy. 109 in Delta. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.barnesfuneralchapel.com.
