Martin Ross LaDuke, age 74, of Edon, Ohio, and formerly of Winston Salem, North Carolina, died at 12:55 P.M. on Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at Evergreen Manor Nursing Center, where he was a patient, after a brief illness. Mr. LaDuke was a longtime sales representative to grocery stores for Schwan’s Food Service in North Carolina. He was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and the Florida Gators, loved to read, and was a people person, which made his job most enjoyable.

Martin Ross LaDuke was born on June 22, 1939, in Gorham, New Hampshire, the son of Clarence and Virginia L. (Rich) LaDuke. He married Linda Sue McClurg on July 29, 1961, in Ashland, Kentucky, and she survives.

Survivors also include three sons, David (Sue) LaDuke, of Edon, Christopher (Jaine) LaDuke, of Kernersville, North Carolina, and Greg LaDuke, of Winston Salem, North Carolina; one daughter, Pamela LaDuke, of Edon; six grandchildren; and two sisters, Sue Petringello, of St. Petersburg, Florida, and Diane Hughes, of Beckley, West Virginia. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Daniel and Bruce LaDuke.

Memorial services will be held on Monday, August 5, 2013, at 6:00 P.M. in the Edon Church of Christ with Pastor Cliff Graves officiating.

Memorials are requested to the Edon Church of Christ.

I was just remembering some of the dumb things we did at Northeast High. Ross and Iworked for a food store, and 6 of us kids stole a case of beer. Got caught, but the manager was smart and let us go. Glad Big Ross had such a wonderful career and life. He deserved it. See you up there in a few years big guy. Blessings
