Mary E. Fickle, age 92, of Wauseon passed away early Tuesday March 1, 2016 at Heartland of Wauseon. Prior to her retirement she had worked as a house cleaner, homemaker and had also worked for a short time at the former McCord Corporation in Wauseon.
Mary was born on May 12, 1923 in Fulton County, Ohio the daughter of the late William and the late Helen (Young) Waldeck. On January 18, 1941 she married Arthur Ray Fickle and he preceded her in death in 1986. She enjoyed going to auctions and garage sales.
Surviving are three sons; David of Gobels, MI, Roger (Peggy Dopp) of Wauseon and Richard (Judy) of Wauseon. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sister Joan Hershey of Charleston, NC, sister-in-law Alberta Taylor of Crystal River, FL, DorisMonk of Las Vegas and brother-in-law William Manley of Wauseon. Preceding her in death besides her parents and husband was son Robert, daughters-in-law Sandy and Karen and brother, Don.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Friday March 4, 2016 at the Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon with Pastor Donna Stutzman officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday from 2:00-6:00pm at the funeral home.
