Jim and Kathy Radcliffe, global missionaries in Papua New Guinea since 1985, will be sharing at Pioneer Church of the Nazarene on Sunday, October 28. Dr. Jim is chief surgeon at Kudjip Nazarene Hospital where God called the Radcliffes to surgical evangelism. Though sin greatly abounds in the highlands of Papua New Guinea, God’s grace is abounding more as many sick and needy people come for care. Miracles of healing for body and spirit take place every day.
Jim grew up in a Nazarene pastor’s home in Virginia and Ohio. After five years of surgery training, and one year of surgical practice, he and Kathy were appointed as missionaries to PNG. When Jim is not in the operating room, he enjoys watching and playing sports, practicing his trumpet, caring for in-patients and out-patients, and speaking in the churches in PNG (and the USA!).
Kathy grew up on a farm in Xenia, Ohio and met Jim when they were singing together in a youth choir. They were married after graduating from Mt. Vernon Nazarene University. Family and women’s ministries, Bible studies, prayer groups, MK (missionary kids) education and hospitality have all provided opportunities for Kathy to serve the Lord and others.
The Radcliffe’s three oldest children, Benjamin, Bekah, and Tim are now married and live in the United States. Their daughter Priscilla attends Mount Vernon Nazarene University in Ohio, and their youngest, Josiah (16) and Lydia (13) will be ministering with them in Pioneer, Ohio on October 28.
Pioneer Church of the Nazarene is located at 13962 County Road S (corner of OH-15 and CR-S). A potluck dinner will begin at 5 p.m., followed by a fun and informative time with the Radcliffes at 6 p.m. All are welcome to attend. Bring a dish if possible, and look forward to hearing about this exciting ministry and meeting the Radcliffe family. If your family or church group will be attending our potluck prior to the service, please call and rsvp. If you have any questions, please contact the church at (419) 737-3083.
