Surviving in addition to his wife are four sons, Christopher Hageman, of Ney, Ohio, Matthew Hageman and David Mendoza, both of Toledo, Ohio, and Dalton (Trisha) Hageman, of Wauseon; two grandchildren, Aidan and Willow, four step- grandchildren, Joey, Emily, Amber and Hunter; his mother, Shirley Hageman, of Bryan, Ohio; two brothers, Gary Hageman, of Bryan, and Dennis Hageman, in Arizona; and one sister, Teresa Kroetz, of Stryker, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Hageman.

A visitation celebrating the life of Merlin D. Hageman will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2018, from 2:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan. There will be no services and interment will be private.
