Michael Keith Anderson, age 72, of Fayette, passed away on Wednesday, July 7, 2021, at Fulton County Health Center in Wauseon. He was a devoted husband to Barbara (Powers) Anderson for 49 years.
Mike was born in Lima Ohio 1-26-1949, son to Woodrow and Betty Anderson. He attended school at Camden-Frontier MI. In 1969, Mike was drafted to the United States Army to serve in Vietnam.
For over 45 years, Mike owned and operated Anderson Specialized Hauling. He was an active member of the American Legion Post 265 and the local VFW. He was a strong advocate for the local veterans.
Mike was a loving father to Samuel Stucky, Michael Anderson Jr, and Richard (Rachel) Anderson. Mike was also a caring grandfather to seven grandchildren.
Surviving besides his wife and children are brothers, Robert Cody, Everett (Lynn) Anderson and Dean (Kim) Anderson; sisters, Barbara Hankinson and Becky Stine.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Betty and Woodrow Anderson, a brother Roger (Brenda) Anderson; and sisters-in-law, Sharon Cody and Connie Anderson.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday, July 11, 2021, from 2:00-4:00 and 5:00-7:00 P.M., at the Eagle-Marry Funeral Home – Fayette Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 12, 2021, at 1:00 P.M., also at the funeral home, with Pastor Kim Repp officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant View Union Cemetery in Fayette, with military honors accorded by the Fulton County Honor Guard.
Mike will be deeply missed. In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to The Wounded Warrior project.
